Finally! Last post in my CARAGA Travel adventure series!
We didn't have anything planned for the last day, just some souvenir shopping before going home. We headed out for breakfast, and being subjected to eating carinderia and bakery food the past four days left me craving for some fast food, so we went around Butuan in search of some. We found a McDonalds just outside a shopping center and had a good ol' fashioned city breakfast. By the time we were done eating, the mall was open so we went in, walking around, looking for nothing. After a while, we walked the streets, occassionally going into souvenir shops and an occassional product show room. We bought the basic souvenir items, and I also got something I may be able to use in my Christmas wrapping.

Burnt. This is in our room at Julian's Inn |
We went back to Julian's by 11 so we could still wash up before checking out. After we checked out, we went to Margie's for lunch (previously researched). What greeted us was a quirky and warm vibe. We ordered... We also tried their desserts, ___ cake and durian ice cream. Of course, we didn;t want to leave without making our marks so we signed our named on their wall.
Margie's :) |
Day 5 Expenses:
BreakfastPhp141.00 Pasalubong Shopping Php170.00 Trike to Margie's Php8.00 Lunch at Margie's Php235.00 Multicab to Bancasi Airport Php12.00 Terminal Fee Php20.00 Total for Day 2.5 Php586.00 Total for the trip Php6,511.00
Our initial trip budget was Php6730 and the total trip expense amounted to Php6511! Although skipped the zipling at Delta Adventure Park (that would make us over budget), it was still not bad for a 5-day trip! I wished more people came with us so we can split some of the costs in more ways, but more because it would have be more fun going around with a bunch of people, and seeing the beauty of CARAGA with good natured travelers.
'Til our next adventure!
